Coil on Plug (COP) and Distributorless Ignition (DIS) Tachometer Adapters If a tachometer output is not readily available the quickest and easiest way to install your Marshall tachometer on a vehicle with coil on plug (COP), distributorless ignition system (DIS), or diesel injection is by using a tachometer adapter.Two recommended tachometer adapters available are:
These tachometer adapters simply attach, with no splicing or cutting, to a current-carrying wire, and turn that information into a 12V signal that is compatible with the Marshall tachometers.
